Revisit the Best Bits of Boxpark

942550_10151388331231193_1056103729_nAlways breaking new ground, Hospital was the first ever record label to launch a shop in the Shoreditch pop up mall of Boxpark. For the limited time of six weeks, our aim was to bring a bit of Hospital magic to the depths of East London through live podcasts, exclusive deals and special events.

With the Summer now in full swing, we’re missing our pop up HQ so incase you were unfortunate enough to miss out on a visit, we thought we’d bring the best bits of Boxpark to you. We hope they capture some of the vibes that went down during those six weeks.

Interior

It took us a whole 36 hours to set up our Boxpark shop. Incorporating custom made Medicine cabinets, light boxes and even a surgical chair, the resulting shop was truly ‘Hospitalised’ and perfectly adapted to showcase our exclusive merchandise.

Exclusive Products

A shop is only as good as its stock so we launched a series of solid silver products to accompany the opening of our shop. Lovingly handmade, you can still pick up a pair of ‘H’ cufflinks and signent ring from the Hospital Shop.

BOXCASTS

We kicked off the six week extravaganza with a boxcast, a podcast streamed from Boxpark (see what we did there)… Live streamed and all still available to download HERE, you can catch what went down via our YouTube channel.

Hospital gets GIMPED

Week 3 saw artiste extrodinaire The Gimp General invade our Boxpark premesis. As a one-off event, he drew iconoclastic portraits of both the Hospital staff and fans.gimp

Album Launches & Exclusive Interviews

Over the six week period, the whole Hospital roster pulled together to bring the Bass to Boxpark with live broadcasts from Unit 29 aided by many special guests such as recent Med School signing Etherwood and bass music starlet Ayah Marar to name but a few. In addition, the shop saw the exclusive album launch of not only Danny Byrd’s notorious ‘Golden Ticket’ but Nu:Logic’s EP ‘Everlasting Days’.

Additionally, we made sure that our interviewer Sophie Lobl was on site to catch up with artists post-set.

The ‘Doctor’s Orders’ Beer is Launched

Just what the Doctor ordered, we teamed up with Signature Brew to create the ultimate beer to dance with. A devilishly simple yet sophisticated lager, the unique recipe was developed through long and arduous tasting sessions with Hospital records staff and artists. It’s launch took place during week 4 at our pop-up shop but packs of ‘Doctor’s Orders’ can still be bought online HERE.

Hospital joins forces with ‘Any Forty’ for Special Edition Tee

As we approached the end of our time at Boxpark, there was no better way to celebrate the last six weeks than with the launch of a collaboration T-shirt with fellow Boxpark resident ‘Any Forty’. As part of their incredible Animal Face series, the T-shirt features ‘The Queen Bee’, or rather the Hospitali-bee!

As a one time print run only with limited stock, the T-shirts can still be picked up from the Hospital Shop HERE but once sold out, they will be gone forever.946829_10151388331306193_1824703082_n
