Hospitality Bristol: Halloween

Undivide – New Year’s Day

Hospitality at Let It Roll 2016

We’re heading home! Step back into our beloved O2 Academy Brixton as we bring in a mind-blowing soundsystem and a whole load of incredible DJs to make use of it. Not only do we have the Hospital Records family in full effect, we’ve also brought in plenty of special guests to take over the two additional rooms!

A man who needs little introduction. Already ten years on from his debut long player ‘This Too Shall Pass’ and he’s had prolific releases with Nasty Habit, Inperspective, Critical, Scientific Wax, and of course made a home at Shy FX’s Digital Soundboy imprint. He’s had widespread crossover success with his multi-genre sophomore album ‘Foundation’ which featured the likes of Sir David Rodigan, Burial and Skream. Last year he returned with the ‘When The Night Comes’ LP, followed up a few months back by a fiery D+B dosage – ‘Kill Dem’.

Metalheadz duo Ulterior Motive joined us at a couple of Hospitality nights last year, tearing up the dancefloor at Building Six and Glastonbury’s Shangri La stage. There was no question we had to have them back for our return to the O2 Academy Brixton! They’ve already made plenty of noise in 2016 with their remix of High Contrast’s ‘Mermaid Scar’, out now on the mammoth ‘Hospitality 2016‘ compilation!

The soothing sounds of Technimatic should never be ignored. We’re big fans of Shogun’s soulful duo; Technicolour and Komatic joined forces back in 2007 and have since carved out their place in drum & bass with their rich, emotive sounds. Their debut LP ‘Desire Paths’ snuck into Mixmag’s top 10 albums of 2014 as well as nabbing ‘Best Album’ at the National Drum & Bass Awards. They’re busy working on album number two and to wet our appetites they’ve offered out a free download of their new track ‘Music is Familiar’, check it below!

Makoto is back! He’s been playing shows world over and this April he’ll be joining us on the final date of his European tour to bring the luscious tones of Tokyo’s finest. His own timeless musical repertoire leads the way for luscious, liquid drum & bass – check a load of free downloads below!

Spearhead Records’ leading man will also be stepping up this April! Eleven years strong, Spearhead has been instrumental in bringing artists such as S.P.Y, Netsky and Technimatic to the table as well as discovering and developing promising talent such as Hybrid Minds, LSB and Dexcell. With a DJ career spanning over 20 years he’s been touring the Spearhead sound across the globe as well as releasing his own productions, including three studio albums and his latest track ‘Understanding’ on Soul Trader Records. Be sure to check out the latest episode of the Spearhead Records podcast HERE.

So that’s just a tiny slice of the fine selectors we’ve got in store for our return to Brixton Academy this April! Check the full line up below, third release tickets on sale now!
